By placing an order with Heritage High Point, you agree to the following. We try to keep this short and human -- the goal is a clear working relationship, not legal cover.
Trade-Only Sales
Heritage High Point sells only to qualified trade professionals: licensed interior designers, registered furniture wholesalers, and similar trade buyers. By placing an order you confirm that you (a) hold the necessary business license, (b) are buying for resale or other tax-exempt purpose, (c) have provided us a current resale certificate (E-595E) where required, and (d) are not buying for personal end use. We may decline orders or close accounts at our discretion.Orders and Payment
Most pieces are built to order. Our standard lead time is 5 to 7 weeks.
- First orders require a 50% deposit by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). The remaining balance, plus freight, is due before we ship.
- Subsequent orders on accounts in good standing may be invoiced on terms by prior arrangement.
- We also accept ACH wire and business check; please contact us before sending either.
If you cancel after we have started production, a 25 percent cancellation fee applies, because the piece has already been cut and labor scheduled. We will always talk it through with you first.
Custom Orders and Customer's Own Material (COM)
Custom orders, COM orders, and any piece built to specific dimensions or finishes are final. Once the deposit is paid we cannot cancel, refund, or accept return -- the materials become non-saleable to anyone else. See our C.O.M. Requirements page for COM specifications.Shipping
All shipments are F.O.B. our factory in High Point, North Carolina: title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier takes the piece. You are responsible for freight and insurance.
- Estimated completion dates are estimates; we will tell you when your piece is ready to ship.
- If you are picking up at High Point Market, pickups must be arranged within 30 days of the last day of market. After that, storage fees may apply.
- Inspect every piece at delivery. Sign for the exact number of cartons received, and inspect for damage before signing. Once signed, the freight company considers the delivery complete.
- We do not blind-ship to your end client without a written request in advance.
Damage, Defects, and Returns
Visible damage at delivery: refuse the shipment on the spot. That is the only way we can recover from the freight company.
Hidden damage or defect: email info@heritagehighpoint.com with photos within 3 business days of delivery. After 3 business days we cannot file a claim on your behalf.
Workmanship warranty: 6 months from delivery against defects in materials or workmanship that materially impair use of the piece. At our option we will repair, replace, or credit the piece.
What the warranty does not cover: normal wear, natural variation in wood grain or fabric, defects in customer-supplied material, damage from modification, misuse, or improper cleaning. The warranty is void if the piece has been repaired or modified outside our factory.
Returns of non-custom pieces: only with prior written approval. Restocking fee of 25 percent applies. Return freight is your responsibility, and the piece must arrive in original condition and packaging.
Intellectual Property
Our photos, sketches, design files, and pattern names are Heritage High Point property. You may use them in your own client presentations and proposals to sell our pieces. You may not republish them on a public website, social account, or printed catalog outside that use without our written permission.Warranty Disclaimer
Except for the workmanship warranty above, Heritage High Point makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our total liability on any claim is limited to the price you paid for the piece in question.Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Guilford County, North Carolina, and the prevailing party may recover reasonable attorneys' fees.Other
Prices and product specifications are subject to change without notice; we will honor the prices on an order we have already accepted. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still apply. These terms, plus your written order and any signed addenda, are the entire agreement between us.Questions? info@heritagehighpoint.com
